Based in Bozeman, Montana, Jennifer grounds her creative work in understanding our connections to place. Utilizing landscape as an enigmatic recording of human life, she interprets locality through still life objects, abstract form, flora and fauna. A published author in cultural landscape and semiotic literature, she often uses vocabulary and phrases to establish content, color, form, and composition. Her chosen medium depends on site impression and context.
A licensed Landscape Architect, Jennifer has wide professional experience in design, art and academia. She holds her bachelor’s degrees in Studio Art & Environmental Design from UC Davis and a Masters in Landscape Architecture with Historic Preservation from University of Georgia.
She often finds the distillation of truth happens at the crossroads of disciplines.
